Erin Roberts, head trainer, has developed the Barista Workshop to share her passion for teaching the techniques necessary to raise the standard of producing consistent espresso and an appreciation for the journey of coffee as a precious resource. With over 12 years of experience in both hospitality and education, Erin has developed the curriculum to provide students with an in depth, comprehensive and fun workshop. Erin has been in the hospitality industry since 1996, turning her focus to café and barista in 2004. She has since trained for various coffee companies and barista schools, managed cafes and worked in many areas of hospitality, allowing her to develop the program utilising these experiences and industry knowledge. Erin is a qualified Primary School teacher, and specialised in Japanese, before turning to adult education in 2008, teaching English as a Second Language. Erin holds her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and now focuses her love of teaching on those who choose to further their skills and knowledge in an industry that they are passionate about.
